Comeback Jockey Determined To Win Back Respect Of Peers

Apprentice jockey Andrew Castle admits he hit rock bottom and burnt friends and admirers in the industry, but after a spiritual awakening the young rider is back in the saddle and determined to win back the respect of his peers.

“Where it all went wrong with me, I just started surrounding myself with the wrong people. I was probably about sixteen/seventeen pretty immature at the time lead and myself astray,” Castle told TABradio.

“I got into the wrong things, I got into drugs and alcohol and when you I started mixing with that, that’s when my career started heading down south.”
