RWWA Stewards today together with Perth Racing officials conducted an inspection of the Ascot track surface and determined it to be in good condition for the opening meeting of the season on Saturday, 15 October 2016.
After a full assessment of the entire track surface it was decided that the rail will be placed in the 6 metre position for the opening meeting.
Consistent with normal pre-season track inspection procedures, it is the intention of Stewards to conduct a track gallop over the 6 metre position on the morning of Saturday, 8 October 2016.
