Rontana Beach breaks through for maiden win after getting a lovely inside run from barrier one.

Young George ran on for second but had every opportunity of reeling in the winner.

Debutant First Trade showed speed early and stuck on well for third.

Hidden Grace ran on strongly for fourth and is looking for more ground.

Foxinator was solidly backed but faded to sixth after leading.

Former Sydney galloper, Bourne Supremacy, made a flying start under the tutelage of Chris Gangemi after tracking the leader and booting clear when the cutaway came into play.

Favourite Fire Born, resuming after a short spell, plugged away to run fifth after racing wide.

Astute punters cashed in when Prohurst Express, backed from $8 into $5, made a top return to racing.  The Danehill Express gelding, who started from barrier one, was given a top run from Lucy Warwick who angled off the fence when a run presented on cornering.

Favourite Aunty Zelma appeared to have every opportunity but knocked up badly to finish ahead of just two runners.

David Harrison is away overseas but he still managed to have an impact when Dawn’s Flyer scored an upset win.  Apprentice, Kate Fitzgerald, who landed her second city success, worked to the lead from barrier nine and held that position throughout.

Favourite and runner up Danish Delight loomed up but couldn’t go on with it, beaten 1 ¼ lengths.

Smarty Wilson ended a 636 day losing sequence when he settled in the second half of the field before grabbing Bells Tower in the last stride.

Boy Byrnes, who raced greenly in the straight, was a neck away third in a tight finish.

After encouraging runs when placed at her first two starts, Cosmic Storm relished the step up to the mile for a strong maiden win.

Second elect Sky Rhythm was jumping out of the ground late to be placed fourth.

Forget Hopetoun went around after she was inconvenienced by riderless horse, Dust Me Off.

Tough win from Hold Your Tongue who had to do it at both ends of the race, lifted across the line by jockey, Peter Hall, completing the second leg of a double for the top hoop.

Black Aria ran a gallant fourth after a wide run.

Sandpipers was forced to stretch out but dug deep to get over the top of a brave Gondiggin.
