Sarah Bonner leads the Touchstone Rising Star series after guiding Truly Gold to victory at Geraldton on Sunday.

It was a bittersweet day for the rising young talent who suffered at fall on Myboypaul in the last race on the card.

Bonner fell heavily at the back of the field, but fortunately escaped with just brushing and was able to return to Perth.

Chelsi Forder landed her first win of the Geraldton season when she had L’Rondine beautifully placed in running.

L’Rondine is prepared by Meryl Hayley who has made a big start to the Geraldton season, training six winners in the opening two meetings.

The girls are dominating the series, holding the first three positions at the head of the table with Randy Tan leading the boys in fourth place.

Earlier on Saturday Brodie Kirby earned bragging rights when he celebrated one of his best wins in the saddle.

Kirby had to wait until the last but it was worth the wait when he partnered Ballidu Bomber in the Leinster Cup.
