The day did not start well for Boss who was found guilty of careless riding on Cana in the Group III Kevin Hayes Stakes (1200m).

Stewards deemed Boss allowed Cana to shift in near the 150m and cause Calaverite to be checked. Boss was suspended for eight meetings, to commence at midnight on february 13 and expire midnight February 19.

The day got worse for Boss who was found guilty of a charge of careless riding on Lucky Hussler, runner-up in the Group I CF Orr Stakes, charged with shifting in near the 150m and causing Bow Creek to relinquish its position.

Boss was suspended for 10 meetings to commence at midnight on February 13 and expire midnight February 20.

Stewards ruled the suspensions can be served concurrently.

Opie Bosson was fined $1000 for not riding out Turn Me Loose to the line in the CF Orr Stakes.

Turn Me Loose finished fourth after leading and Bosson pleaded guilty to not riding out for the last two strides of the race. In assessing penalty stewards could not be fully satisfied his actions had affected the final placings and it was a Group One event.
