Hugh Bowman has landed the ride on short-priced favourite Winx in the Group I Queensland Oaks (2200m).
The Chris Waller-trained Street Cry filly turned on a stunning display with a last-to-first win in the Group III Sunshine Coast Guineas (1600m) last Saturday, jumping from gate 14.
Larry Cassidy gave her plenty of time to find her feet and she powered over top of rivals for a soft 1-3/4 length victory.
Winx is a two-time Group II winner, scoring in the Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) during the autumn and also winning the Furious Stakes (1200m) back in the spring of 2014.
She also finished runner-up behind Gust Of Wind in the Group I ATC Oaks (2400m) on April 11.
Sportsbet have slashed her quote in the $500,000 Queensland Oaks to be run at Doomben on May 30. As much as $6 was available prior to Saturday’s win, but Sportsbet currently have her marked at $2.50.
Waller also has the second favourite in the Queensland Oaks with Ballet Suite quoted at $7. The daughter of High Chaparral won the Listed Princess Stakes (2000m) at Doomben on May 9.
