Queensland jockey Ric McMahon has been stood down from riding for allegedly testing positive to methamphetamine, commonly known as ice.
The Courier-Mail reports McMahon will not be riding at Gatton on Friday or Doomben on Saturday following providing a urine sample that tested positive for the illegal drug.
Raving Queensland stewards have stood McMahon down pending the result of a second test sample, which could take up to 10 days to process.
If the second test comes back positive it is likely McMahon will be looking at a lengthy suspension.
South Australian stewards suspended jockey Andrew Stead for three years in 2013 for testing positive to methamphetamine.
Racing Queensland has not issued a statement as yet.
