Mollie Clark’s milestone victory at Carnarvon has won her the Western Australian Racing Trainers’ Association Apprentice of the Month award for November.
Clark celebrated her first success as a jockey when she guided veteran galloper Tindall to a fighting win over Redhage at Carnarvon’s final meeting of the season.
It took Clarke, who is indentured to Brett Pope, 42 rides to snare her maiden victory after previous attempts at Pinjarra, Northam, Roebourne and Junction.
Clarke has since taken giant strides in her development as a rider and figures prominently in the 2015 Touchstone Farm Rising Star Series.
Her application, dedication, attitude and hard work was reflected at Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s recent Apprentice awards when she was crowned Trainee of the Year.
