Suavito won eight of her 24 starts in a career that began with a second behind subsequent Group II winner Solicit in April 2013 before including wins in the 2015 Futurity Stakes and 2016 CF Orr Stakes.

The CF Orr Stakes success was Suavito’s last victory. The daughter of Thorn Park finished third at her next outing in the Group I Futurity Stakes (1400m) but failed to fill a place in any of her four subsequent runs.

Suavito earned more than $1.3 million stakes for an ownership group that initially leased the mare before exercising their option to buy her early in her career.

The mare’s owners sold Suavito for an undisclosed sum to join the broodmare band at champion New Zealand breeder Waikato Stud.

Savabeel will be Suavito’s first mating partner in the coming weeks.
