Adam Durrant and Neville Parnham consolidated their positions at the head of the Trainers Premiership after sharing the spoils with a double at Belmont on Saturday.

Durrant, who has the 2013-14 title within his grasp, stretched his tally to 73 metropolitan winners after victories to Tower Of Lonhro and Gladstone.

The Karnup horseman is on the cusp of winning back-to-back training titles after preparing 53 city wins last season.

Parnham moved to 45 wins after Crown Lawyer and Right Honourable proved too strong for their respective rivals.

Parnham has a healthy seven win lead over third placegetter Grant Williams with Simon Miller and Justin Warwick in a tight contest for fourth.
