Clint Johnston Porter enjoyed a dream start to his riding career when he won aboard Aloha Miss for his mentor Adam Durrant in the Super Saturday November 22 Handicap (1200m) at Ascot on Wednesday.

Johnston-Porter, who led and rated Aloha Miss to defeat stable mate Star Lightning and Clumsy, was having just his third ride in a race after launching his saddle career with two unplaced rides at Leinster on October 18.

Johnston-Porter joined Mitchell Pateman, Chris Parnham and Jake Casey in boosting their scores in the Touchstone Farm Rising Star Series.

Parnham denied his trainer father, Neville, when piloting Castle Retreat for Paul Jordan over Megafactory in the second event.

Pateman ended a quiet period and gained his first city win of the season when the consistent Fred Kersley-trained Nunca Te Rindas broke through.

Jake Casey, who rode a hat trick at Leinster before the card was abandoned on Saturday, continued his good form when Zenzu scored a narrow win.
