Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) has further reviewed eligibility for trials to extend that eligibility to all those horses who have not raced or trialled in the previous 12-weeks.
Horses eligible to trial will now be as follows:
- Horses referred back to trials by Stewards, including those not raced in previous 12-months.
- All unraced horses
- Horses that have not raced or trialled in the previous 12-weeks.
To meet the stringent social distancing requirements, all trials at Belmont Park, Bunbury and Lark Hill will now be split into two sessions with published times for each heat.
There will be a break of 90 minutes scheduled between sessions and horses for the second session must not arrive on-course more than one hour before the first heat is scheduled in that session (no exceptions will be made).
The racing department will make every effort to ensure trainers have their horses nominated to trial accommodated in the same session.
