Clint Johnston-Porter maintained his lead in the Touchstone Farm Rising Star Series after earning maximum points on Success Story at Northam on Thursday.
Johnston-Porter consolidated his position at the head of the table when he settled near last on Success Story before unleashing with a strong finishing burst.
Success Story, prepared by Ashely Maley, is back in form after a poor Broome campaign, going back-to-back following an upset win in Kalgoorlie.
Lucy Warwick ensured she was within striking distance of Johnston-Porter when she rated Mikimoto in front, just holding out The High Road by a head.
Warwick went close to nailing a race-to-race double after Blitzem Someday failed by a long head to gather in Forseen in the race prior.
Forseen, who posted his second win over Blitzem Someday, was perfectly rated by Jordan Turner, moving him to fourth in the series.
