Stocks’ dominant win at Northam on Thursday has given jockey Jake Casey a share of the lead in the 2015 Touchstone Farm Rising Star Series.
Stocks, trained by Casey’s father, Sean, justified favouritism when he ran on from seventh position and defeated Cool Hand Clint by 4 ½ lengths.
Casey came perilously close to gaining further maximum points and the overall lead when Born Regal ran a long head second to Fizza Ma Wizza.
Emma Stent made significant ground and moved to fourth position after piloting Aquajinsky for Ivan Haggerty to an all the way win in the opening race.
Casey Hunter posted her first win of the series when Vital Edition got the better of Lady Trader by a half-length. She also placed with Gigidy Gigidy Goo.
