A minor injury has stopped Delicacy, last season’s three-year-old filly of the year, from resuming at Ascot on Saturday.

Racing and Wagering West Australia stewards confirmed Friday morning that trainer Grant Williams has scratched Delicacy out of Saturday’s Group III Prince Of Wales Stakes (1200m) due to a minor flesh wound on the shoulder.
The withdrawal of Delicacy reduces the $150,000 weight-for-age contest to just five runners, headed by last season’s Group I Winterbottom Stakes winner Magnifisio,
Delicacy completed the Derby and Oaks double in South Australia and Western Australia at her last four starts.
The four-year-old daughter of Al Maher will now trial Monday.
