Joao Moreira rode six winners at Sapporo on Sunday but could not win the World All-Star Jockey Series.

Moreira rode six consecutive winners but was not able to win either of the two races in the All-Star series and finished in fifth place with 37 points behind Mirco Demuro.

Craig Williams finished sixth on 35 points, his best effort from four rides in the series a second place finish on Land o’ the Leal in the fourth leg on Sunday.

Moreira rode seven straight winners having won the final race on Saturday aboard Sakura Empire. On Sunday he scored on Akki, Light Bringer, Maka Le’a, Grand Barows, Satono Messiah and Curren Matador and also finished runner-up on Shuji in the feature Group III Keeneland Cup.

Overall the Japan Racing Association team defeated Moreira’s World All-Star team with 245 points to 208 from four races over Saturday and Sunday.
