Young tyro Clint Johnston Porter has surged to the lead in the 2015 Touchstone Farm Rising Series after a riding treble at Geraldton on Sunday.
Launching the Geraldton season in hot fashion the young rider posted consecutive wins on Lowlands Boy, Danehill Matilda and Helder The Painter.
The talented teenager is four points clear of Randy Tan who celebrated a career highlight with a maiden city double at Ascot on Saturday.
Tan angled off the fence on Who’s To Blame and sat off the speed with Madassa who upset the return of hot favourite, Sheidel.
Tan’s only other ride on the programme, Flying Time, ran second to Hold Your Tongue who blitzed home from last position for Jerry Noske.
Noske, who outrode her claim on Hold Your Tongue, capped a top weekend when Push To Pass flashed home in the last at Geraldton.
Shaun O’Donnell Jnr surged up the leader board after a career-high treble at Laverton including the main feature on the five race card.
O’Donnell Jnr claimed the biggest race of his short career when Kalbelia, trained by Peter Fernie, proved too good in the Laverton Cup (1600m).
Sean Casey’s Military Hero and Tumbleweed Tango for Rob O’Brien rounded out O’Donnell’s best day in the saddle.
