Danny Beasley could be out of action for a number of weeks after tests confirmed the rider has a cracked rib and partially collapsed lung.
Beasley rode at Gosford on Tuesday with discomfort in his chest region before being ruled out of Wednesday’s meeting at Warwick Farm.
The injury was initially thought to be of soft-tissue only until scans revealed the true extent of the problem.
Beasley was due to ride in Korea this Saturday in favour of Rosehill’s Run To The Rose meeting but is expected to be sidelined for up to a month.
