The WA Government have today announced that from this Friday, May 29 (or 11.59pm on Thursday, May 28), the regional boundaries will be lifted except for regions that are bound by the Commonwealth’s designated biosecurity determination (Kimberley, East Pilbara and the Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku) and 274 remote Aboriginal communities.

In light of this announcement nominations for all race meetings will be re-opened to all horses, with restrictions on outer provincial race meetings being removed.

Jockeys will also be granted permission to travel via car to regional race meetings, rather than via charter flights.
